libfiredns-dev software package provides Development files for firedns, an asynch. dns resolver library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libfiredns-dev
libfiredns-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libfiredns-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libfiredns-dev *
You will get with libfiredns-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
